About J. M. Coetzee
J. M. Coetzee is a South African born novelist, essayist, translator, and literary scholar. He is a winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature and a two time winner of the Booker Prize.
His novels are known for their spare prose, moral seriousness, and close attention to power, language, and silence. Foe returns to the story of Robinson Crusoe and gives the telling to a woman whose account has been left out of it.
